About

Hi! I’m a Houston-based artist and a graduate of the University of Houston, where I studied Fine Arts and Marketing. I work mainly with oil paint but have come to love and am constantly taking breaks to work with other mediums such as pastels, charcoal, acrylic and much more.

Much of my work focuses on the human figure, heavy contrast and the interaction of light and shadow. I’m drawn to how these powerful elements can shape emotion and create a sense of drama that guides viewers towards the subject rather than just the surface. Each piece represents a complex meaning or significance and all that shapes the human experience. I often take inspiration from the people around me and my own lived experiences.

Aside from this focus and personal projects, I am constantly experimenting and never limit myself within my art. Along with portraiture I explore still life paintings, landscapes and paintings inspired by my travels, abstract work and even pet portraits. Every subject matter allows me to approach my craft with a different perspective in ways that make what I do endlessly fulfilling.
